A Morita chile it’s a smoked jalapeño, much like a chipotle but smaller and fierier. The Morita is red, as are chipotles. And if you’re wondering why they are red when jalapeños are commonly green, it’s because if a jalapeño is left on the vine long enough it will eventually turn red, much like tomatoes start out green and then turn red.
The Habanero’s Peppers heat, its fruity, citrus-like flavor, and its floral aroma have made it a popular ingredient in hot sauces and spicy foods.
The Chiltepin Peppers thin fleshed, has a dry and dusty flavor and a searing transient heat. Claimed to be hotter and or equal to Habanero, it is used to make salsas, or to add flavor to soups, stews, and vinegars.
